📏 How big is a Scraps Bag?

Each Retold bag can hold up to approx. 5 lbs. Bag dimensions are 15.5 x 17.5 x 4”, that's about the size of a pillowcase. Think about how much you're recycling (one sewing thread can take more than 50 years to fully decompose)!

feels empowering to redirect textile waste!
I am a textile artist and I work for a textile artist. We create lots of scraps that are too small to reasonably save and use in our own work. Knowing that I can collect them and send them to ReTold makes me feel like I am doing something to keep all this waste out of the landfills. I work with deastock fabrics and repurposed clothing to make my textile sculptures and I love all the ways I can recycle and upcycle fabric waste.

Perfect for events
I coordinated a sew day recently and left a ReTold bag at the cutting table. After explaining the process, we proceeded to fill a bag and kept all of our scraps out of the trash. I have several more bags for personal use. I'm happy to have found this recycling option!

Recycling sewing scraps
I love this concept! I upcycle thrifted clothing and vintage fabrics into pillows, table runners, and other home decor. I use ever bit of fabric I can.
But still have bits and pieces and scrap. I am so glad these can be recycled. The photos I am sharing are some of my pillows from swim trunks.
