Convenience with a conscience!
Retold is a convenient mail-based bag service for recycling old and unwanted textiles straight from the home. We celebrate a new environmentally conscious behaviour that puts recycling at the center of consumer’s shopping habits.
So, how does it work?
Retold Recycling has diverted over 150 tons of textile materials so far, and you may be wondering - how do we do it? Our process is simple, carefully diverting materials one bag at a time.
Step One
Fill your bags!
Order your Retold bags!
Once your bags are ordered, start sorting! When your bags arrive it's time to start packing. Items like solo socks, worn out bras, t-shirts, jeans, and dresses are all accepted in our Classic Retold Bags. Stuff up to 5lbs of material, peel the adhesive strip, and stick!
Step 2
Send it off!
Fill your bag—whether it’s just one sock or packed to the brim—and drop it in your mailbox, mail room, or hand it to your doorman. Each bag comes with a pre-paid label, so you won’t have to wait in line at the Post Office.
Step 3
Our turn...
Once we receive your bags, our partners carefully sort the textiles to ensure they’re directed to the most appropriate destinations. High-quality items are sent to be reused, while others things like scraps are passed on to recyclers to be processed into raw materials. This sorting process ensures that your textiles are diverted from landfills and instead contribute to a more sustainable cycle of reuse and recycling, helping us to minimize waste and promote a circular economy!
Our Heartbeat
At Retold Recycling, were dedicated to lead the way in textile recycling by championing transparency and sustainability through our process. We are committed to providing eco-friendly solutions that empower consumers to responsibly dispose of their unwanted textiles. Our domestic recycling process ensures that every item collected is thoughtfully sorted and redirected towards upcycling, recycling, or resale within our local communities. Through open communication and ethical practices, we create a circular economy that reduces waste, conserves resources, and fosters a healthier planet for future generations.
